Issued USGI Three Color Desert Field Pants
The 3-Color Desert camouflage pattern was designed to replace the Six-Color Desert Battle Dress Uniform. Small production runs began in 1989, with very few uniforms reaching US troops before Operation Desert Storm.Ā Full scale production ramped up in 1991, with 3-Color Desert or "coffee stain" being most commonly issued during Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom.
